Rental requirements
- Valid driver’s license. If it is issued outside Costa Rica, it would be valid for 90 days after your arrival to Costa Rica.
- Passport.
- Major credit card (Amex, Visa, Master Card) with US$ 1500 credit available, to cover deposit and rental cost.
- Easy Car does not accept debit cards.
- Vehicles are not allowed to be driven outside Costa Rica.
- Any adjustments or modifications to the reservation may vary the rate.
- Rental periods are 24 hours per day.
- Minimum age for rental is 23 years old.
Insurance
Mandatory insurance: The mandatory insurance includes LDW (loss damage waiver) and LI (liability insurance) with an excess or deductible of US$ 1500.
Supplemental insurances: A supplemental loss damage waiver (SDW) is available to cover the excess at US$ 12.00 per day.
A supplemental third party liability (SLI) is available to cover the excess at US$ 10.00 per day.
If the Credit Cards Insurance applies, the customer has to pay the liability insurance of US $ 10.00 per day, regardless of the car category.
Conditions:
- No hidden costs or extras in our rates.
- Taxes are all included.
- Each additional driver has a cost of US$3.00 per day per driver.

Cancellation policy
It is required notice at least 72 hours upon scheduled arrival in order to avoid one day charge penalty.
Reservations requirements
- Even if our online reservation system will confirm your booking, to guarantee it, a credit card is required.
- Rental place and hour should be clearly stated in the reservation.
- Our staff will contact you over the phone or by e-mail, right after your reservation to receive your information and assist you with any other question you may have about your rental.

- If the required information is no received within a 24 hour period after the booking was made, it will be erased from the system.
General Information
Easy Car offers meet and greet service at the airport when exact flight details are provided. Renter will be meeting with an Easy Car representative at arrival gates.
When flights details are not provided, the customer may call upon arrival for shuttle service available in San Jose Airport and in Liberia airport at: 800-248-1962 or 800-2542-4800 or 2542-4830.
